Karate Kid Legends

Karate Kid Legends During the summer of 1985, Mr. Miyagi explains to Daniel LaRusso, who was a teenager at the time, the history of Miyagi-Do karate and the connection between the Miyagi and Han families. Shimpo Miyagi, Mr. Miyagi's 16th-century ancestor, is caught in China while fishing off the coast of Japan. He was adopted by the Han family, who taught him kung fu, which, when he returned to Okinawa, was known as Miyagi-Do karate.

Mr. Han is currently the esteemed shifu (master) of a Beijing-based wuguan (kung fu school). Li Fong, his great-nephew, is one of his students. As Li's brother, Bo, was stabbed to death by a spiteful defeated opponent following a tournament some years ago, Li's mother, a doctor, shows up to inform Li and Mr. Han that she has accepted a job in New York City and demands that Li give up martial arts.

Li finds it difficult to fit in at school in New York and meets Mia Lipani, the daughter of Victor Lipani, a former local boxing champion. Conor Day, a local karate champion and Mia's violent ex-boyfriend, confronts them after they start dating. Conor's mother employs Alan, a tutor, after he punches Li in the face, and the two become friends. Later, at school, Li confronts Conor once more, but this time, Li knows Conor is a more formidable opponent. Learning the "Dragon Kick" from Bo, Li tries a jumping, spinning kick, but Conor blocks it and beats him.

Li sees goons dispatched by Victor's creditor, O'Shea, who runs the karate studio where Conor practices, attack Victor one night. Li is compelled to step in and defeats the assailants. Victor wants Li to teach him after deciding to go back to boxing in order to pay off his debt and save his pizzeria. After speaking with Mr. Han on the phone, Li reluctantly accepts and goes on to work for Victor in the pizzeria. Victor is sent to the hospital when the opponent, acting on O'Shea's orders, knocks him out with illegal hits during his return match. Mia is disappointed when Li, paralyzed by thoughts of Bo's passing, is unable to assist in the hospital. Li's mom,

Mr. Han avoids a few of Li's phone calls before traveling to New York to face him. In order to support his friends and face his history, Mr. Han urges Li to take up martial arts again and compete in the Five Boroughs Tournament after finding out the truth. Han travels to Los Angeles to seek assistance from Daniel LaRusso. Daniel reluctantly goes to New York with them. In the meantime, Mia and Li have made up, and Victor is completely healed from his wounds.

Li receives instruction from Daniel in Miyagi-Do karate and from Mr. Han in kung fu. Li uses Alan's rooftop garden as a temporary training area. Li is able to dodge and redirect the opponent's counterattack when Mr. Han and Daniel create a new Dragon Kick version.

Li starts competing in the Five Boroughs Tournament and advances to the championship match, where he faces Connor. Li is attacked by goons sent by O'Shea, but Daniel and Mr. Han stand up for him. Additionally, Mr. Han persuades Li's mother that martial arts are beneficial for Li since they enable him to overcome his traumatic history. Li and Connor engage in a fierce eight-point contest. Despite Connor's initial dominance, Li finally makes a comeback and ties Connor. Li subsequently successfully executes his modified Dragon Kick in the final match, defeating his worries and winning the bout. Connor uses a sneak attack in retaliation, but Li quickly outwits him and then extends mercy, winning Connor's respect.

Later, Mr. Han goes back to China, and Victor establishes a second pizzeria. In Los Angeles, Daniel and Johnny Lawrence argue over whether New York pizza is superior to California pizza after Li delivers a frozen pizza to Daniel along with a note and photo as a thank-you gift. To Daniel's dismay, Johnny presents a new company concept: Miyagi-Dough, a pizzeria with a dojo theme.

Karate Kid Legends | My Thoughts

I love to see that the karate kid (Myagi Do Saga Myagiverse), is continuing with new innovative and creative ways of showing the martial arts to people. This is especially important for Karate School owners who are looking to recruit new students. This time instead of going to China, a Chinese kid comes to the USA and experiences similar problems to the 2010 Will Smith Karate Kid remake. When relocating you often face people who don't know you so there is political tension. If not the first business of order, Karate comes from Kung Fu, and the styles are different and yet the same like water.
