Kung Fu Panda 2

Kung Fu Panda 2: DreamWorks Animation produced and Paramount Pictures distributed the 2011 American animated martial arts comedy Kung Fu Panda 2.

Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and written by the creative duo of Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, the film is the sequel to Kung Fu Panda (2008), and the second installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, James Hong, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, and Seth Rogen all reprise their parts from the original movie.

Kung Fu Panda 2 | The Wicked Peacock Lord

To prevent the wicked peacock Lord Shen from taking over China, Po and his Furious Five allies—Tigress, Monkey, Viper, Crane, and Mantis—travel to Gongmen City. Along the way, they uncover Po's long-forgotten background.

With favorable reviews, the movie debuted in theaters on May 26, 2011. Despite having a $150 million budget, it made $665 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing movie with a female director until Frozen and the highest-grossing movie with a female director alone until Wonder Woman. In addition, it was the highest-grossing animated feature of the year, the sixth-highest-grossing movie of 2011, and the highest-grossing movie in the Kung Fu Panda series. At the 84th Academy Awards, the movie received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Nelson was the second female nominee for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, following Marjane Satrapi's Persepolis. In 2016, Kung Fu Panda 3 came after it.

My personal Favorite of the 4 Kung Fu Panda movies is Kung Fu Panda 2. It has a deeper and darker story plot as opposed to Kung Fu Panda 1, 3, and 4 which was released in 2004 as of this writing.
