Naruto—Season 1, Episode 1 Title: Enter: Naruto Uzumaki! (Original Air Date: October 3, 2002, in Japan; September 10, 2005, in English Dub).
Summary | Naruto—Season 1, Episode 1
The episode introduces the world of Naruto, a hidden village of ninjas known as the Hidden Leaf Village (Konohagakure). Twelve years prior, the village was attacked by the fearsome Nine-Tailed Fox Demon (Kurama). To save the village, the Fourth Hokage sealed the beast inside a newborn baby—Naruto Uzumaki. Because of this, Naruto grew up as an orphan, shunned and despised by most villagers, even though he had no control over the demon inside him.
Now a mischievous, loud, and troublemaking academy student, Naruto pulls pranks to get attention, such as painting graffiti on the Hokage Monument. His true dream is to become the Hokage, the village’s strongest ninja and leader, so that people will finally respect him.
