He is a UFC commentator, comedian, and iTunes podcaster. Naturally, he has some (well, a lot of) martial arts training, and he maintains absurdly high levels of fitness.
He has the following to his name:
Taekwondo Black Belt: 19 US Open Tournament victories.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with MMA and Muay Thai training.
Norris, Chuck
Fans of the movie star might not be overly surprised to learn that Chuck Norris is one of the more well-known Tae Kwon Do practitioners. Chuck became the first Westerner to become an 8th-degree Grand Master in Tae Kwon Do, in addition to being an expert in a variety of other martial arts, including becoming a six-time unbeaten World Professional Middle Weight Karate Champion. Amazingly, he even found time to develop Chun Kuk Do, which translates to "The Universal Way," his own martial arts system.
Geller, Sarah Michelle
Sarah Michelle Geller is the next person on our list. She gained notoriety as Buffy on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The TV personality and movie star, who is currently a first degree black belt, has talked about how Tae Kwon Do has aided her throughout her career. If you're an aspiring actress, mastering Tae Kwon Do might help you succeed!
Nelson Willie
The legendary country music artist Willie Nelson is another well-known person with a strong martial arts background. In addition to his remarkable accomplishment of becoming a fifth degree black belt in Gong Kwon Yu Sul, Willie accomplished this feat just a few days before his 81st birthday. Along with it, he holds a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Unquestionably an amazing accomplishment, it should serve as a terrific reminder to all martial arts students that it's never too late!
Imperioli, Michael
Next on our list is Michael Imperioli, who became well-known for his role as Tony Soprano's nephew Christopher on HBO's The Sopranos, the gold standard of television. As a current black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Michael attributes his life and his family's lives to practicing the martial art. "Tae Kwon Do has changed our family in body, mind, and spirit," Michael said in an interview. It has altered who we are as people. Tae Kwon Do teaches you that you can conquer any hurdle and take on anything, therefore I have more focus, concentration, and confidence now.
Winnick, Katheryn
In addition to being well-known for her part as a queen on the popular television show Vikings, Katheryn Winnick has made time to practice a number of martial arts. In addition to earning a 3rd Dan in Tae Kwon Do, she has attained the level of 2nd Dan in Karate. A remarkable accomplishment for such a busy woman!
might be expected for a movie that focused so extensively on martial arts, Roberts and his co-star Chris Penn made sure they were as well-versed in the martial arts as possible for the film. Roberts practiced so hard that he eventually earned a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. As it happens, performers are not always as fierce as they appear on TV!
We hope that our list of well-known individuals who have attained the rank of black belt has been enjoyable. As you can see, a diverse range of people have practiced martial arts, including at our top-tier Tae Kwon Do training facility.
Keanu Reeves

For four months, Reeves trained eight hours a day in BJJ and Judo for John Wick.
Reeves trained with BJJ specialists and mixed martial artists the Machado brothers for the John Wick sequels.
Jim Carrey
Natural-born comedian Jim Carrey is well-known for his sense of humor, goofy facial expressions, and quirky on-screen character. He has earned his brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, though, and is also a very talented martial arts athlete. In Jiu-Jitsu, obtaining a brown belt is no easy feat.
