Cobra Kai — Season 2, Episode 6 ("Take a Right")

Here’s a summary of Cobra Kai – Season 2, Episode 6 ("Take a Right"):

Plot Summary | Cobra Kai – Season 2, Episode 6

This episode opens on a somber note with the funeral of Tommy, Johnny’s old Cobra Kai friend from the original Karate Kid. Johnny, Bobby, and Jimmy all reunite to honor him, and the old crew has a heartfelt road trip together on motorcycles. It’s both nostalgic and bittersweet, as Tommy’s death reminds Johnny of how fleeting life can be and how important it is to make better choices.

Meanwhile, back in the Valley:

  • Kreese continues to tighten his influence over Cobra Kai students while Johnny is away. He pushes a more ruthless philosophy, reinforcing the “no mercy” mindset.

  • Miguel and Tory grow closer, with Tory’s influence steering Miguel further toward Kreese’s harsher teachings.

  • Samantha struggles with the fallout from her breakup with Miguel and her new friendship with Robby, as tensions between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do escalate.

The episode focuses less on karate fights and more on themes of loyalty, loss, and reflection. It shows Johnny caught between his past with Cobra Kai and the future he’s trying to build for his students.

Joe is an orange belt in karate.
